I have exactly four carloads of belongings (and a car). I know this because when I moved back in August it took four trips in my Honda Civic Hybrid to unload my old apartment. I have two car loads of belongings in storage and I have two car loads of belongings at my house.
I have to figure out what I want to take to Japan and stuff it into two suitcases and a carry on.
I already know that I'm giving away my futon mattress; three and a half car loads to go. I'm going to give a bunch of toys and gadgets to Kevin. I'm going to just get rid of some of the junk I have. Candles, decorations, those type of things. I'm sure I can do this. The only thing that I really care about are my baseball cards and my pictures. Everything else can be replaced when I return.
I'm really looking forward to getting my car insurance returned to me. I just paid the 6 month premium a few weeks ago. When I sell my car and cancel my Geico insurance I should get about 4 months worth of my car insurance premium returned. Hallelujah!
I also found someone to take over my Cingular cellphone. I still have a few months left on my contract. Mom said she would take over the payments. It won't be a bad deal for her. I've never used all my minutes each month, so I have almost 2000 rollover minutes. Not even Alex could burn through all those minutes (well, OK, maybe Alex could).
I think I am going to head out towards Flea World next week to buy those two big suitcases that will carry all my important belonging to Japan. I was out there a couple of months ago and saw a few places that sold luggage. I'm sure that it won't be the highest quality luggage in the world, but I'm sure I can get a good deal.
