Saipan Covered in Snow (Guam, too!)

It snowed the last time I visited DC. This picture, taken on January 20, 2005, is of me standing in the water fountain in the Pacific half of the World War II Memorial (the water in the fountain was frozen).

Today I came across the Myspace of a Saipan student studying in Washington (Hi, Janne). She had a picture of her name written in snow on a windshield. It made me smile, but it also made me think of this picture of Saipan, Tinian, and Guam covered in snow.

This is where I lived a year ago. I don't think I'll be seeing snow again any time soon.

It just goes to show no matter how far you away from Saipan you are, it still remains in your thoughts and heart. This is such a cute picture Angelo! I bet a million bucks that the snow misses you as well! It's quite funny actually, because when it snowed two days ago, my friend Steven (another Saipan student studying at Seattle U.) and I wrote "Saipan 670" in the snow. If I come across anymore snow, I'll be sure to stop and write "Beautify CNMI" in it and take a picture. Keep up the spectacular work and Happy Holidays! (Once again, I LOVE YOUR PASSION!)
