It passed the House

"By a vote of 315 to 116, the House of Representatives, under the ambitious new leadership of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), passed a bill today to increase the minimum wage. The legislation proposes to raise the federal minimum wage from $5.15 per hour to $7.25 per hour over two years."
315 to 116??? Remember, the Senate already passed a minimum wage bill a while back. The only thing keeping this from passing the House was Tom Delay and Jack Abramoff. Now Minimum Wage Reform has bipartisan support. Although they are the more conservative chamber, we should expect this to fly through the Senate.

The fat lady's not singing...but she's already on stage.
