A Grim Anniversary

Four years ago today, the US invaded Iraq.

I was part of the 10% of Americans that didn't support Bush after 9/11. Then I was part of the 25% of Americans that didn't support him on the day we invaded Iraq. Four years and 3217 American deaths later, I'm part of the 65% of Americans (read: 195 million citizens)that don't support him now.

Now, I would normally argue that an eloquent person should stray from using curse words in trying to get across a point. Curse words can make you sound "unsophisticated" (in quotes for a reason) and can lack the nuance to properly get your point across.

With the situation in Iraq, though, I think that it is very appropriate to express my opinion with a very heartfelt:

FUUUUUUUCK.

I just pray that this war of cultures will be long over by the time my kids are old enough to enlist or be drafted.

No, but what do you really think?

Sounds like someone needs a hug...
hehehehehehe.

BTW, whenever I see the beautify cnmi psa I can't help but throw my trash wherever I feel like, after all a there's an army of happy volunteers that'll gladly pick it up for me. Picking up trash is fun, look at 'em smile on the youtube.
Instead, I'd rather watch some happy kid show me what to do with my garbage by disposing of it in a trash bin beautifully painted with the beautify cnmi logo and telling me that it's the cool thing to do! Then have your squad of volunteers maintain the bins with a fresh coat of paint every so often.
I'm dumb and lazy, don't make me work too hard, plant a garbage bin nearby and show me what to do with it.

Okay, now give me a hug.

Well, Juan, your prayer is likely to be unfulfilled unless the draft age is increased to 2000.

I'd rather have a commercial where someone from DPS or DEQ is handing out one of their $500 citations. If they started cranking out litter citations, we'd see a solution to the litter problem really fast.
