It's raining!

NOAA says:
...TYPHOON KONG-REY`S HEAVY RAIN APPROACHING TINIAN AND SAIPAN...

...AREAS AFFECTED...
THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS OF GUAM AND THE NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS. PREPARATIONS SHOULD BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF DAMAGING WINDS OF 39 MPH OR MORE...EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT OR TUESDAY.(snip)

...TINIAN AND SAIPAN...
TINIAN AND SAIPAN ARE IN TYPHOON CONDITION OF READINESS 2.

PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY SHOULD BE COMPLETE. REMAIN IN SHELTER OVERNIGHT AS KONG-REY PASSES. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE.

...WIND INFORMATION...
DAMAGING WINDS OF 40 MPH OR MORE SHOULD ARRIVE SHORTLY MIDNIGHT... AND PEAK AT 50 TO 55 MPH AROUND SUNRISE TUESDAY MORNING. WINDS SHOULD FALL BELOW 40 MPH BY EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. ON KONG-REY`S CURRENT TRACK TYPHOON FORCE WINDS WILL LIKELY MISS SAIPAN AND TINIAN...BUT ARE STILL POSSIBLE EARLY TUESDAY MORNING IF THE STORM DEVIATES LEFT OF ITS FORECAST TRACK.

...COASTAL INUNDATION AND SURF INFORMATION...
STORM SURGE AND INUNDATION OF 2 TO 3 FEET ARE EXPECTED AS KONG-REY PASSES NEAR SAIPAN AND TINIAN. WORST INUNDATION WILL BE DURING HIGH TIDE PERIODS. SURF WILL BE 12-16 FEET WITH DEADLY RIP CURRENTS.

...OTHER STORM EFFECTS...
HEAVY RAINFALL OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IS EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY.
It is already raining pretty heavy and we've starting getting gusts of wind. The wind isn't too strong, it isn't howling or anything, but the palm trees across the street are swaying.

I think the storm is going to spare us. It seems like every new storm update has Kong Rey tracking further North. I have a feeling that we're just going to get a lot of rain tomorrow and then it will be back to work as usual on Wednesday morning.

(Hopefully I won't be eating my words tomorrow)

I'm glad to note you found the NOAA bulletin. I found the varying information you get on Kong-rey out there alarming. Hope you get spared the worst.
