A sure sign that the World is about to end

Bruce Bateman, one of the worst people in the world, is calling for, get this, cultural understanding. He writes:
What I am trying to point out is that there are cultural differences among the good folks living here on Saipan and we can benefit from them. We can learn from each other and we can continue to coexist in peaceful harmony with respect for the land and the water and the cultures of the people who have lived here for hundreds, even thousands of years.
Bruce, you sound reasonable. You sound almost, dare I say it, Liberal. What is happening to you?

It's staggering. A kinder, gentler Bruce Bateman. If we rib him more he might have to write one of his more typical social darwinism pieces for next week, though.

Too much exposure to the Liberal Left has warped my usual objective, cynical-because-it-deserves-it viewpoint. Next think you know I'll be calling for adherence to the Tokyo Protocol in obvious contravention to reality.

Help me Obi Wan Harrybrownee, you are my only hope.

Exactly Bruce, why shouldn't we spew carbon into the atmosphere to heat up and destroy the viability of the planet? Why stop making money just so civilization, wildly overrated, continues well into the future? Freedom to make money now trumps freedom for future generations to go outside without a hazmat suit. Makes no sense to do it differently. Biba Exxon!

Do you mean the Kyoto Protocol?

Yep, Jeff. Yep, Angelo.

Okay, you guys feel better now?
