Here are some links from The Other 95%:
Eric wrote about king crab larvae: http://other95.blogspot.com/2008/08/red-king-crab-zoea-paralithodes.html

and posted this graphic for the ocean's most dangerous species: http://other95.blogspot.com/2008/08/sos-most-dangerous-species.html

Here are some from Deep Sea News:
Craig announced some big news with an awesome video: http://scienceblogs.com/deepseanews/2008/08/the_big_news_revealed.php

Peter pondered why a leatherback turtle would dive to 1000m: http://scienceblogs.com/deepseanews/2008/08/why_do_leatherback_turtles_div.php
and made the deep sea connection to mangroves: http://scienceblogs.com/deepseanews/2008/08/making_that_deepsea_connection.php

I didn't really do anything this last month, but did take some time out to wax poetic on excess: http://scienceblogs.com/deepseanews/2008/08/picturing_excess.php

what is this carnival of the blue and what do you mean by CNMI Ocean blogs? Any blog with pictures from the CNMI waters? If so, I think my blog would qualify...but I don't know what the Carnival of the Blue is.
