Hey. I got sort of excited and sort of sad when I stumbled across your blog. I applied to JET this year, but was rejected after the interview. It was my ultimate dream for three or four years, and I'd worked really hard for it. Such is life, I know, and I'm still going to try to get to Japan (NOT with Nova, etc!), or at least teach abroad somewhere else for some time.I guess I just wanted to say well done to you for getting a place. I went through all those same emotions of waiting...and waiting...and waiting! (They take their time here in Britain too, though it sounds like the application process is a little different) I'm sure you will have an awesome time. Envious as I am, I will definitely be keeping an eye on your blog from now on to see how your experience pans out.All the very best with your new job JET. Better start packing! :-)PS. Make sure you tell us all about the Tokyo orientation; it always sounded like it was going to be a lot of fun.
I just want to point out that this is the blog of two people. One of us has been accepted and placed in Toyama and the other has been put on the Alternate List and continues to wait for some good news.
Wow guys I just realized this blog has been up since December! Is life going in slow motion while the world spins faster and faster??? My stomach is in knots while reading this all...
