It's Official!

Dear Mr. A V,

I am writing to thank you for applying to and interviewing for the 2005 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. The second stage of the screening process for the 2005 JET Program is now complete and we have made our final selection decisions.

This year, the Embassy of Japan received more than 4000 applications from all over the United States. Hence, competition was extremely rigorous. The task of evaluating applicants was made even more difficult because each candidate who completed the interview stage was highly qualified. Consequently, it is with deep regret that we inform you that we are unable to offer you a position on the 2005 JET Program.

We appreciate the interest you have shown in the JET Program and acknowledge the efforts you have made to complete the application and interview process. We sincerely hope you will continue to pursue your desire to go to Japan.

Once again, thank you for your application. Best wishes in all of your future endeavors.

JET Program Coordinator
