Easter Afternoon Baseball

Some people get to wake up on Easter Sunday and eat pounds of chocolate, jelly beans, and other assorted goodies meant to rot your teeth. Not me. I Beautified the CNMI. I joined Friends of the Mariana Islands and Cinta Kaipat and family for a cleanup of Isa Drive between the Botanical Garden in Papago and Northern Marianas College in Fina Sisu.

Friends of the Mariana IslandsHoly Chow, was this morning a long cleanup. At least I got to see Bev:

I haven't seen Bev since her trip to Palau. It was good to see you, Bev! When do I get to see your pictures?

After our cleanup event we went back to the Kaipat Compound in Koblerville for breakfast...and a nap. At least I tried to take a nap. Every 30 seconds I was woken up by an well intentioned, "BE QUIET!!!! UNCLE ANGELO IS TRYING TO TAKE A NAP!!!"

Somethings just weren't meant to happen. Taking a nap this afternoon was one of them, so after everyone was fed, we piled everyone into the cars and drove over to the airport field for a friendly game of baseball.

Check me out swinging for the fences:

And Fielding the ball:

And running the bases:

I know what you're thinking: tight board shorts, pulled up socks, and a blindingly white chest and back are a good look. Don't worry; I know I'm cool.

Too bad I was outshined by this guy:

Awww...thanks, Bev! The Kaipat Clan loves you, too! Thanks for the chocolates. Yum. It was GREAT hanging out with you and Missy yesterday. Enjoyed bumping that vball with you guys yesterday. Can't remember the last time I did that. We also enjoyed the Easter Egghunt at Marites' house. Can you e-mail me some of your pictures? Thanks.
