I ran into several of the CNMI Soccer players and Coach Ziggy during this morning's Beautify CNMI cleanup of North AND South Laulau Beaches. They invited EJ and me to join them in some "cliff jumping," which is something that people like to do around here when Blockbuster runs out of new movies.
The cliff jumping spot is on the Kagman peninsula, just south of the Laolao Bay Golf Resort. It is at the end of the long coral road that starts near the yellow bus stop in San Vicente.
There are some smaller jumps right there at the end of the road, but if you have some cojones grandes and you want to try a 50 foot jump, you have to cross part of the golf course...just make sure that you don't bother the golfers.
When the golfers drove off in their golf carts, we ran across the grass to get closer to the water:
Then we climbed over the sharp rocks to get to the cliff's edge:
This is what looking over the cliff looks like:
The cliff is about 50 ft high, which I think is a perfectly good reason NOT to jump.
Yeah right, check this out:
Ziggy and EJ opted not to do the cliff jump. They posed for a souvenir photo instead. How exciting!
Yeah, so I didn't jump either. Taking photos and shooting video provided all the excitement I could handle.
