Carnival of the Blue II

Carnival of the BlueBlue is the new Green.

The Carnival of the Blue II has just been posted over on Blogfish.

For those of us living on Saipan, environmental issues usually concern our oceans. Even many of our land based issues, such as wastewater treatment, deforestation, and solid waste management are ultimately ocean issues because, yup, you guessed it, what we do on the land can affect our marine environment.

I am participating in the Carnival of the Blue because I want to share the CNMI's Ocean Conservation stories with other people interested in Ocean Conservation. My submission this month was the several posts about the recently concluded Beautify CNMI Micronesia Challenge Summer Camp.

Next month I am going to write a post called, "The Future of Conservation in Micronesia." It will be about the Micronesia Challenge, how the five jurisdictions are implementing it, and what I am personally doing to contribute.

The month after that I am hosting the Carnival of the Blue on The Saipan Blog.

Just found your blog...I lived on Saipan as a kid, late seventies--early eighties. Nice to see pictures of some familiar places (i.e., Managaha.) I'll be sure to visit your blog again.
