The Great CNMI De-Lurk!

Great CNMI delurkBoni Gomez says that anybody who visits any Saipan Blog this week has to leave a comment every time they visit. She's calling it the Great CNMI De-Lurk.

She's the boss.

If she says you have to comment, you have to comment.

I didn't get where I am today, by not listening to Boni. Did you see in the news where China is phasing out flimsy plastic bags for domestic use? I hope that effects the export market as well. Somehow, I doubt it.

In a similar vein, how is it that on the mainland and Mongolia where the turtle populations aren't all that high (like Minnesota) six pack rings are verboten. On Saipan, where there are turtles galore, 6 pack rings are everywhere. Now, there is a useful bill for the legislature to pass and maybe an article for some environmentally minded person to write for the paper. Can we live without 6 pack rings and crappy plastic bags? Better ban them both at the same time or they'll be putting the beer cans in the cheap bags. Christ, can't win.

Oh My! I almost forgot about the De-lurk...I better go put up the banner on my page. I love comments!

Oh Great and Mighty Enviromentalist Angelo,-- I'm de-lurking-- but with a legitimate question. With all the power problems the CNMI has, is there any research into Solar- photovoltaic arrays? Why or why not? Solar is big here in rural Northern CA where people have been known to "live off the grid" entirely on solar with a battery bank. Comments? Emotional Outbursts?

Oh yeah-- and if the big de-lurk event starts Jan 14, I'm a day early.... where I am.

Did you get to drink any sokau yet?

Yo from Boston. Love the site.

Thanks for commenting everyone. Great idea for the de-lurk, Boni!

Boni: No Sakau yet. Been too busy working.

Somebody's Mom: Some people already live off the grid through a variety of combinations of batteries, solar, wind, and gas generators.

Soxfan: I couldn't agree with you more, but I am just one treehugger. I'll put it on my list of things to do.

Everybody Else: keep up the comments and I'll do my best to keep moderating.

I'll be in front of the computer screen for about the next 40 straight hours.

Woot.

This webpage thing is turning out to be a pain in the ass. The guy who runs their hosting company has some weird things you have to do to make it work and he's not compliant with the program we are using, Front page.

then why isn't anyone commenting MY bog when I KNOW they're coming from this blog!? (grr)
[!--end rant--]

Oh, and what's the deal with using Frontpage?!? You don't like Dreamweaver or GoLive? (lol)
Adobe FTW!

The Saipan Blogger アンジェロ・ビラゴメズ said...

so put up your own delurker post!

We're using front page because that is what they have. What are you going to do?

bigsoxfan said...

Point taken, I'll blog it and you are welcome to any of the six pack rings and plastic bags you want. You do get paid for your articles?
You know, I wonder what being called to the principals office at GES is like? I'd be scared..

Consider yourself delurked.

FrontPage is fine for putting up websites.

Fie on plastic bags and 6pac rings as well.

To all the legislators that read this blog but don't leave a comment - that six pack law is a no brainer. I'll add it to my list too right after i add the de-lurk thing to my blog.

Yeah Yeah.. Wish you didn't mandate signing into blogger.

lurking sounds like you're up to no good. I always considered myself a surfer. I flip through blogs like I change TV channels. Sometimes something catches my eye and I stick around or come back, others I just skim and move on. When something really moves me I comment...but to make Boni happy I will officially "delurk" for the week.

I am like the night and shall lurk in the shadows of unwitting blogger's as I analyse their lives in comparison with my ...... OOOOPS...

Drat! Bruce already used my line.

One of us must have a screw loose if we're coming up with the same thoughts.

... no, no, no, Bruce, can't be me; das ist verbotten.

No time to lurk ... less to de-lurk!

Thanks for forcing me to learn how to comment, which I never did before simply because I did not know how to. Now that I've commented, I think of the fact that "lurk" and "jerk" rhyme.
