I'm in Guam for the next week for the 10th Micronesians in Island Conservation Retreat. This is my second MIC retreat. My first retreat was in Majuro last June.This time around I'm not such a noob. I'm actually on the Steering Committee, which means I get to facilitate a few of the workshops.
I'll write more about the retreat as the week progresses, but I do want to make sure that everyone who reads this blog knows that my room is on the 17th floor of a fancy hotel right on the Tumon Bay Marine Preserve.
How cool is that?
Sometimes life as a treehugger is good. Pretty darn good.

say hi to ben namakin from pohnpei for me if you see him... we did some work there a bunch of years ago but our funder pulled out... i'm still trying to find a new line of funding to return (and also get funding for cnmi)...
I'll be looking for a job in January. I was considering moving to Korea to be with EJ, but it appears that my readers would much rather have Oreo just poop on my floor.
