アイク・カブレラ is Ike (a-i-ku) Cabrera (ka-bu-re-ra) in Japanese. Ike is now famous in Japan. He was quoted in several stories about the new monument. That's awesome.

A Google News search of "マリアナ海溝" which is Mariana (Ma-ri-a-na) Trench (tsu-ren-chi) in Japanese results in 49 Japanese media stories.

I'm sure there are more stories, but I don't read a lot of Japanese and that is the best I can do.

These stories are very good for the tourism industry in Saipan. Our main market for tourists is Japan. These stories help solidify our reputation as a beautiful natural destination. The ball is now in MVA's court. It is their job to build on the media successes of Pew Environment Group and the Friends of the Monument.

We've already started, Angelo. Pacific Island Paradise Magazine's next issue will be replete with a mention of the MTNM. We've given extensive data about the monument to a producer making both a television documentary and a children's version who will be be coming this spring to start filming. Additionally I've been working for the last 2 months with a writer for the big daddy of eco exposure, National Geographic, and he will be coming in early spring to film an NG documentary, which will include mention of the MTNM, and will stay on afterward to do research for a book about the invasion of Saipan, which probably won't.

We are also gearing up to alter most of our promotional materials to include the monument as a tout point both here and in each of our source countries.

So it won't just be Japan that hears about the MTNM from MVA. More MTNM information is winging it's way to our industry partners there and elsewhere even as you read this. We intend to capitalize fully on the monument as one more reason to visit Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

Can MVA brand me the Godfather of the Marianas Trench? I could replace Saipanda.

Now that the government supports the monument, we should sit down and synergize. We have several leads on our side, too.
