Yesterday evening as the sun set over Paupau Beach, George and Carmen Hasselback became George and Carmen Hasselback.Congrats to the newlyweds and I must add that I have to respect a man who is willing to throw convention to the wind and get married in flip flops.
Naturally every man on Saipan with a Filipina girlfriend is now under pressure to make their significant other, "next." Thanks a lot, George. I wish the two of you a long, happy life together.Friends helped them celebrate long into the night, but Eden and I had to leave early to get to the NMI Democratic Party fundraiser at Fiesta Resort.
