Congrats to Laurie and Joe!

Tying up some strings before I head out; I've got to end my membership to Gold's Gym, pay my utility bill and turn off the phones tomorrow.

This is the email I sent out to the Beautify CNMI list tonight:
Goodbye and thank you, Beautify CNMI

Hafa adai,

Before I head to Florida tomorrow I wanted to take a moment to thank you for supporting the many projects of Beautify CNMI over the last four years. Beautify CNMI has been a community effort from its inception and many have contributed to our success. About two Dozen people have served as project leaders and committee chairs since we were founded and volunteers have numbered in the thousands. Together we have cleaned beaches and roads, planted thousands of trees, painted over graffiti, educated children and the community, and protected our natural resources. Everything was done with a smile, for no pay and for no other reason than it had to be done and was the right thing to do.

In my absence and under the leadership of Joe Kaipat and Laurie Peterka I expect the energy, excitement, and success of Beautify CNMI to continue into the new year and beyond. Please refer all future Beautify CNMI inquiries to them. They are both carbon copied in this email.

I hope we can stay in touch over the next few years. For my part, I will continue publishing to the Saipan Blog and writing my weekly e-mail commentary, Under the Pala Pala. Both can be found by visiting www.AngeloVillagomez.com.

I will forward you my phone and mailing address when I have one; In the meantime, the best way to contact me is via e-mail.

As you may or may not know, I also utilize a number of social networking websites. We can stay in touch that way, too:

Thank you again. The last four years have been the best of my life and you were a big part. And if you are ever in my part of the world, please do not hesitate to look me up.

Si yu'us ma'ase,

Angelo
