2012 in 2012: Let's try this again

They say that success depends on a good spread sheet.  Alright, so I made that up.  2011 in 2011 was more like 604 in 2011, which while not technically a win, wasn't a total loss either.  A new year brings with it renewed optimism that I'll be able to reach my fitness goals.  If this guy can reach his goals to eat 2011 chicken wings in 2011, I can at least go running one hour every day.

I've learned from last year, so this year I'm going to give myself Fridays off.  I'll have to run longer distances, but I'm starting off in better shape this year than I did last, so I can already go out and run a long distance, whereas last year it took me a few months to get there.  If you know what I mean.

The other problem is dealing with my travel schedule.  I haven't taken the time to accurately add up the number of days I was traveling, but I know it was over 150 and may be closer to about 170.  I hardly ran at all last year while I was on the road, so when looked through that lense, I actually did quite a good job with keeping up with my fitness goals (at least until towards the end of the year).  Even so,  I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with the exercise/travel conundrum.

Wish me luck!

Oh, and I want to run a race this year.  I may be in the region, so if all goes according to plan I may try my hand at the Tagaman triathlon at the end of March.
